Seeing your post made me consider giving trackballs another go.

So I purchased one, thanks for the heads up.
Let's see how this compares to the CST L-Trac-X I sold a few months ago.

Likewise. I generally like it so far; my main problem is that I'm a heavy user of all three standard mouse buttons, and only the lower two are really comfortable to reach.

I use all 4 on the slimblade comfortably.

Mine arrived today.

Initial impressions...
- packaging is nice and compact

- love the fit and finish;
imo better than the CST I received

- I wish it wasn't so glossy

- scrolling is amazing;
twisting motion is nice

- right click is a bit stiff for my pinky;
hopefully with use it'll be less stiff

It's back. $59 (http://www.amazon.ca/Kensington-K72327US-Slimblade-Trackball-USB/dp/B001MTE32Y/) this time.

I got one when the original post was made last December, and have been waiting for a similar price to get another for work.

I busted out my slimblade the other day and now have it hooked up to my work laptop docking station.  Amazingly smooth and scrolling is effortless.
