Title: Filco tenkeyless Ninja UK Layout, early 2011?
Post by: crompers on Wed, 28 December 2011, 14:11:57
Evening all, been a long time lurker whilst I build up the courage to spend £120 on a keyboard (!)

I've seen rumours of a ninja in UK layout coming early Jan over here, can anyone confirm them to be true? I'm buying my first (and hopefully only) mechanical and have my heart set on this model, otherwise are filco likely to sell the sideprinted caps anytime soon, its important I get this right if its my last key board ever.

Filco don't really sell much keycaps replacement.

Though, you can try to get from Taobao(if you can) as there is lots KBC aftermart keycaps replacement available there, ranging from side print, top print, no print, engraved and hell lots more.

Have you considered just getting an ANSI/US layout board? I believe it is better, on the whole, and any problems using them in the UK can be overcome. If you are determined for your purchase to be "the one", you owe it to yourself to look into this.

Thanks but I've always used ISO layout (being from UK) and would definitely miss my big enter key and other quirks. I have looked into ways of swapping keys etc but its the physical shape of the keys that's the problem as I touch type. Looks like I'll just have to wait, shouldn't be long though look at the pic top of the Diatec homepage appears to be the exact model....
