Title: Gravis Blackhawk joystick
Post by: weatherman on Thu, 29 December 2011, 14:27:34
Got one of these at a thrift store for a dollar.  Figured this was probably the best place to ask if anyone has one and if so, where can I get drivers for it to get it to work in windows 7?  I have a gameport to USB adapter, but windows doesn't seem to recognize it.

Which gameport to USB adapter?
Might be helpful to know what the adapter is before I know what drivers to look for.

I just got the same joystick, waiting for my gameport to USB adapter to come in the mail, but I understood the one I ordered is a driverless plug and play.

I use an old soundcard to plug in Joysticks. The Gravis Blackhawk is pretty awful, though, so it may not be worth your time.

I got my Gravis Black Hawk for next to nothing if it turns out to be crap it is not a big deal to me.
I found mine at a Good Will, I am spending more for a 15 pin to USB adapter ($5 + free shipping) than I did on the Joystick.

Although I take your input under advisement, I do understand from google image searches there is a few variations on the Black Hawk Designs
