Title: Elitekeyboards shipping to Canada increased?
Post by: Namkung on Fri, 30 December 2011, 19:35:05
Looking at the shipping cost for EliteKeyboards to Canada (Ontario to be specific) it is showing me $48.60 .. up from $30 .
Is that just me or did they increase the already ridiculous shipping prices?

Yep, posted about this problem on reddit (r/keyboards). Absolutely ridiculous. I was planning on purchasing a TKL Leopold w/ Cherry Blues (or wait for the new Leopolds coming early next year), but I guess I'll have to wait.

Wow. If that's the case, I'd rather proxy a Filco.

Leopolds do have a certain advantages (and weaknesses), but with the increase in price, it has lost the edge in pricing for Canadians like me.

CMStorm from NCIX is a decent deal, or Rosewill on newegg.ca, or Filco from Taiwan PCHome.

There has been a shipping increase of $0.60 cents for EMS shipping in the 3-4 pound range, from $48.00 to $48.60. This is due to an announcement of increasing rates for the new year. We increased the rate for Priority (5-6 day) shipping by $0.55, you just need to proceed to the next step of checkout to see the slower/cheaper option. Note that it appears something was amiss right after the change, but this wasn't the intention.

In the event that you need something from EK, I'm willing to bet that there are a couple members around here that jump between Canada and the states that would be willing to help you out.
