Post by: Iridium on Sun, 01 January 2012, 15:28:12
Hello guys!I am looking for a mechanical keyboard, preferably illuminated and with a swedish/nordic layout. I have looked alot at the Cherry MX switches but other switches will work too. My bugdet is somwhere around 100 USD(700 SEK), suggestions?

Illuminated and SE mechanical, I believe narrows it down to the Mionix Zibal60, qpad MK and razer black widow. Not sure about the pricing in your area, but all probably more than budget. Cheapest option for you would probably be a Cherry G80, but not backlit. Other non backlit in SE are Filco, Zowie Celeritas. Not sure if others exist, but I have seen all of these in Nordic as a standard option.

Thank you for the answers! All of the illuminated keyboards are out of my budget but ive heard some good things about Filco's so i guess i'll just get one of those

Filco is always a good choice. I think you will enjoy it more than any of the backlight ones in the long run.

Generaly Filco's are more than others.... I couldn't find G80 in SWE/FIN...

Qpad MK, Razer BW Ultimate and Corsair brings to mind where there is some backlighted options. Still, for cheap options normal Blackwidow or Steelseries 6Gv2, it's not too bad atleast in Finland anymore...

I ended up buying Qpad MK-80 pro, it was a bit over my budget but i think it's worth it.
