You can request Cherry compatible versions.
-
Email Melissa @ SP.
-
sorry, but what is @ SP?
New around here so have to figure out this stuff.
-
SP = Signature Plastics, the people who make the keys on that site (and also the doubleshot group buy keys).

"@ SP" = "at Signature Plastics"
Don't worry about it, we were all noobs once.
Welcome to Geekhack.

the @ i knew, but the SP-part was new for me ;)

Yeah I should have noted with that link that only PANIC and !@#$% are MX-compatible.

Hey: I have an on-topic question: Is the "panic" one the same thickness as other SP spherical doubleshot keys? I was having some difficulty finding pictures of the bottom side.

The "Panic" key that you want is Cherry MX compatible. I ordered from that site without having to send Melissa an email.

The picture in OP shows the bottom side but if that isn't enough, I could take a pic of the bottom part for you and sorry, I don't have any SP spherical DS keys to compare.

I have a R3 Vim key, it's thick like the panic key.
-
I like thick PBT keys.
Like in the new Leopolds I predicted correctly in my "No Shift Sherlock (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?25167-No-Shift-Sherlock-New-Leopolds-Thick-PBT-Keys-Sherlock-Observations)" thread.
This is ABS.
Thanks for the info reaper and daemonraccoon (cool name, bytheway)

You need one of these its regular panic from an SP groupbuy that is not spherical.

Are these double shots?
-
^ Yes, they are.
-
See I don't understand why fentek and SP both offer all of these novelty keys and don't offer double shot "WASD" sets as well.

The problem is this, there is no consistent profile between manufacturers, and even different models. So a generic keycap set could be made, but then when everyone tries to install them on their specific keyboard it might be correct, close, or completely wrong (most likely just close). The Esc key is separated from the other keys by enough space that "being close" is usually good enough, not a spec that most people would want to deal with when it comes to the primary typing keys on their keyboard. This is why you typically only see WASD sets being offered by certain manufacturers spec'd for their product only.
This was one of the beautiful design characteristics built into the Model M, just one profile regardless of row.

Well all I know is that there are a lot of people offering wasd but none of them are double shot :( I guess will have to settle for some cool zinc ones for now
