hi guys. since i began lurking these forums I have become curious to know what kinds of switches are used in the machines I use at work. So today I pulled off a keycap and snapped some pics. Can anyone identify the type of switch pictured here?

Ripster will be here soon with a meme saying RTFW. This stands for Ripster's Theory of the Forum Wikis or something like that. On a side note, you pictures do not work. Try looking in the Wikis first.

Looks linear.

I forgot to mention they have a linear feel with approximately 1mm travel to actuation and another 2 or 3mm to bottom out. They are heavier to depress than my Leopold with browns as well. No tactility whatsoever.
Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

Oops! Sorry about the broken images. I will fix them when I get home. Posting from my phone right now and editing a URL is close to imposs ible with a touchscreen

I have a fixed link in my post, it's highly probable that it's a Hall effect or magnetic reed switch.
-
To me it looks like it is based on conductive rubber. It looks like two metal pads at the bottom of the switch.

I thought RTFW meant Read The F****ng Wiki.

I thought it was too Jkercado... I was swiftly mistaken...LoL
