I've only ever used Greenock-made Model Ms - am I missing out?

Well, from my experience that just means your spacebar is abs. I didn't even notice that until I melted it.

That explains why the spacebar is yellower than other keys.

I had a Greenock 42H that I was excited about bolt-modding because it had a nice light feel, and it looked really clean and nice overall.

After taking it apart and trying to make it work, I realized that it had a weird controller/connections that was/were completely different from all my other Model Ms.

PS - I tested the spacebar with acetone and it was not affected, so I suppose I got one of the good ones. If I remember correctly it dated from 1997.
