Has anyone tried this? If so, please post your findings of what the switch feels/sounds like. Also, please post the switch weight.

Aren't clear springs different from black springs?
-
I could tell 0 difference, comparing them side by side in the same board with either black or clear stem. From what I can tell Cherry has 3 springs, light ~55g in red/brown/blue, medium ~65g in black/clear/green, and heavy ~75g in grey linear/grey tactile.
If you look at force graph, black and clear are both in the 60-65 range, with clear being 'heavier' because of having to push past the bump.

Clear springs are even stronger.
If I do a phantom this is what I'd do. But if they are terrible I won't bother.
I have a rawko board with clears that I did the dye and whatnot to, and I found that the clear spring was too much for me to hold down while gaming. I tried panda clears (on wasd and ergo on arrows) and I was surprised just how large the difference was.
All I got from that other thread was people talking about thinking about trying it, and then a wiki entry saying that it is a thing you can do.

clear springs have the same force at the midpoint as black springs however they are not the same. Clear springs have a sharper force graph and therefore the first half of a keypress is lighter and the second half is heavier vs a black spring.
I have tried both blue stems with clear springs and blue stems with black springs and they feel very close to each other vs some other stems where the difference between clear and black springs are more apparent like clear and black/red stems.
This is just my personal opinion having tried them on my tester board.

unfortunately I have never tried greens so I do not know which blue switch mod is closer to a green.
