Title: An idea for the keyboard pros here
Post by: jkercado on Thu, 12 January 2012, 08:05:13
I've read many people wanting advice about which mechanical keyboard they should get. Questions about switches, brands, price, etc. I thought it could be a cool idea that one of the keyboard pros here created a simple flowchart to help in the decision-making process, and then post that in the Wikis. This would be especially useful to those coming from rubber dome keyboards.

What do you guys think?

Yes...and no. I'm talking about something that would do the initial "hand-holding". For example, start with something like key weight preference, or budget, or how much available desk space they have. A starting point and move from there. Something that would, in fact, answer like 75% of noob questions.

One does not simply decide on a keyboard by flowchart.

What does a blue switch have to do with desk space or a modern look?

I was going to reference Ripsters 2x2 but the last one I saw did not include Reds or Ergo clears.
