Not like no one knows where the RBG set are mostly used, but I thought I would share some real life pics. If I am not mistaken those are dysubs instead of doubleshot and the board is MY/ML? switch based.
If you ever drop by DWT, head to the international terminal concourse A. The way they set up the place gets you very easy access to the desk when the gate is empty (quite a few of them are). And then you just do the street photography trick, snap here snap there, BAM! click* click* click* click* at the keyboard... lol

Come to think of it, RGB Ctrl/Alt/Shift keycaps really are for n00bs who don't have all the shortcut keys memorized.
-
I would ask to buy those haha
How did you get a picture behind the desk?
Are those stickers on the keyboard the combination they can use with RGB for shortcuts?

It was at the DWT concourse A. There were quite a few empty terminals where you could just walk near (behind) the counter and snap some pics without being overly suspicious.
Guess Bini could tell us how those color labels are in relation with the RBG keys. He was selling caps from one of those boards.

Whoah, they have a trackpoint too (between the GHB keys). Who makes these keyboards?
-
And a bolt on it..?
Looks like a desko to me:

I thought the curved area ender the spacebar looked like the desko "elbowglue" SPOS, and searched their website.

Nice detective work there! Looks very much like that Desko. Oh wait, Deskthority has a thread with photos of such boards complete with RGB keys:

They are for sure Deskos. Only the RGB keys and the caps with orange writing are dye subs. the rest are normal doubleshots. delta airlines uses these boards. they are in every airport from what i have seen. they pay $500/keyboard for them too and they aren't even MX switches. the older versions had the trackpoint in the middle of the keys so they cut off a portion of the caps to make room for it. The newer versions have the trackpoint in the front so the GHB keys are left in tact.
United Airlines uses a smaller version of the deskos with printed or lasered RGB keys. the CTRL/ALT on their boards are 1 units each so really small.

What on earth is going on with that printer?

You all missed out on this one. I just picked it up and 75% of the board is dye sub :D
I'll post some pics when I get home on Sunday.

See I tried to take a pic of those at the airport a couple of weeks ago and got yelled at. they also told me I was weird for wanting to take a pic of their keyboard lol I am probably flaged now cause of my keyboard admiration.

If you ever drop by DWT, head to the international terminal concourse C. The way they set up the place gets you very easy access to the desk when the gate is empty (quite a few of them are). And then you just do the street photography trick, snap here snap there, BAM! click* click* click* click* at the keyboard... lol
and then run in to pluck a few of them :spy:

On my way to Europe in October I asked 3 ladies at a almost empty terminal if I could take a pic of the keyboard. They looked at me funny but laughed and said I don't see why not.
I joked about how much the caps were worth and one lady said she was obviously in the wrong business.

I need balls the size of yours. I was at Victoria's Secret with my girlfriend, and behind the register was a Cherry ML4100 and I started geeking out. After about 30 seconds, I shut my mouth and walked away while my gf finished her purchase. I felt so ashamed for it.

This seriously made me lol, and I don't use that term loosely. The Onion headline writes itself. "Area nerd in Panty Central can't stop ogling keyboard".

:twitch: The Onion would be a perfect place for that... On a more serious note...Victoria Secret is quite a nice store...strolled through there the other day with my girlfriend.

I snapped this at London Heathrow's Tax Refund counter. Keyboard Voyeurism...
Oh god, what have I become??
Also I think I saw some Cherry G80-11900 (?? It had a trackpad and looked really like this as far as I can remember) behind the Cathay Pacific counters.
-
Ooh, me likey. My local PetSmart has 11900s. I was in Macy's recently and stealthily gave their register keyboards a few pushes. Really nice feel. I suspect high-quality rubber dome, a lot like Topre but with a harder landing. I tried to no avail to find a model number.

I think I would do that at a store, but no the airport. You know how security is... Don't want to cause an awkward scene. "I swear I just wanted to fondle the switches of the keyboard a bit, I'm not a terrorist"

Where did you get it?
--------
I was visiting my friend, and I went into town with his father to get new brakes. The clerk at autozone had a cherry G80 (I forget which one, but it was fullsize). I asked if I could press a key on it.
I really need to get a camera, though. It would make taking pictures really easy.

BiNi quoted the eBay link

And that ebay seller is about 30 minutes away from me. I went there once before and there were no Deskos. But I bought a new-looking Cherry keyboard with black double shots for $50. It was pulled out of a rack-mount KVM. It is close to the airport. Maybe they will have more from Delta counters ;-)

Might find some gold there from time to time :o

Wonderful, plastic gold.

Not gold that floats on water.
