Title: What does GH think of blue alps?
Post by: PixelVandalism on Mon, 16 January 2012, 04:41:01
One of my friends is looking into getting a new keyboard, and I am urging him to get a mech board, He doesn't want to spend more than $60, and the only keyboard I can find is this one (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Classic-104-keys-mechanical-gaming-typing-keyboard-/280728392647?pt=AU_Input_Peripherals&hash=item415cb753c7)
Would this keyboard be better than domes, especially for a first time mechanical owner? He likes the feel of my browns.
Is it worth the money or should he just not bother?

That Alps type switch actually feels pretty good, better than the XM in Duckies, but the board quality is just soso. I am not sure how tolerant your friend is to noise, since that is one loud clicky switch.

Thanks. This must be quite a loud switch I would think.
