Title: Happy Hacking Keyboard Pro (KB300BN) question.

I was browsing craigslist earlier and saw HHKPro for $40.00. Is it worth getting it considering I ll be driving an hour to pick it up? Also is this consider membrane/rubber dome or mechanical?

And also what do I need to check if I decide to pick this up? Thanks.

hhkb pro and pro 2 are mech. For such price is a hhkb lite. If that board is a pro/pro 2 either the guy does not know what he/she is selling or it is in bad shape.
The average for such board is 200 usd

Seller mentioned it as Happy Hacking Keyboard PRO not lite pro. I emailed the seller to send me the picture of the keyboard. Thanks for you reply. Also what is the status on the brick face group buy?

Just got back from 1 hours drive to pick this up. I have no experience with HHKB, I can be sure this is no HHKB lite.

you, my friend, got one hell of a deal.

the HHKB lite has dedicated arrow keys, and i dont think it has a removable usb cable.

HHKB Pro doesn't have the logo and HHKB Pro2 does.. so by the looks of it, you have a HHKB Pro, topre version.

Date of production in the back of the keyboard said 2005. Beside the 2 USB ports and HHKB logo at the right bottom corner; is there any differences between pro and pro2?

Congrat. $40? It is steal.

Pro is never less than pro2. I prefer the shape of pro rather than pro2.
Due to two ugly USB ports, pro2 is not minimalistic!
Some people prefer black(sumi) model 'cause it doesn't get yellow, though I like white ones.

Anyway you are very lucky.
