Title: 104-Key US with MX Browns, Virtually Any Make
Post by: Armando Penblade on Mon, 23 January 2012, 15:35:16
My only major requirements are, as the title says, 104-key US layout with Cherry MX Browns. Beyond that, I would also strongly prefer a keyboard that doesn't have "extras" like a second row of F-keys, trackball, etc. (ruling out the cheap Compaqs on eBay) because of limited "vertical" deskspace (plenty of horizontal!). I'd prefer a keyboard that's not actively falling apart, but I don't have anything against certain makes like the Ducky or PLU.

I'd like to keep it under $80 shipped, but we can always see if need be. . .

------

All squared away. Thanks, everyone!

Your review on the Filco Metallic Blue convince me to buy one too.

One of my hopes, before taking this baby to work, is to finally put together the definitive sound-comparison video review: Blues vs. Browns vs. Blacks vs. Membrane vs. Scissor Switch. If all the mech keyboards are plate-mounted, all the better for comparison's sake.

I have a RK-9000BR if interested. The lowest I can go is $100 shipped because it has PBT keys on it
