Well my most well known keyboard since I arrived here in GEEKHACK was a JUNE 1985 1386304 Model M keyboard, then I located another 1386304 dated SEPT 1985, now I have located another 1386304 from RJR Electronics
Lets See when It arrives what date I got this time

Just for a contrast in "feel", get a 1994 or later Lexmark made M, or a Unicomp. Originally I only liked the 1989 and earlier Ms, but found that the lighter Lexmarks and Unicomps are delightful in their own way. And any Model M is better than whatever else is out there. Not that I'm biased.....

At one time, I would have been impressed with a 1985 Model M. Now I don't even bother with the Model M. I find the 1984 AT Model F much more impressive.

Dated Nov 01, 1985 but inside there was a tag that read Aug. 12, 1985 and the case was stamped Aug. 09, 1985 very odd

It's a Franken-M, constructed from the dead remains of various other 1985 Model M keyboards. You better watch out. It might run amok and start randomly killing people that get in its way.
(I hoped my 1986 Model M might start killing people, but so far - nothing. What a disappointment.)
