so a few weeks back i got to thinking that my local charity electronics recyclers would see lots of old keyboards. that is true, but who has time to go through all those keyboards?
but i asked a guy there to keep a look-out and i just got an email from him today.
"I just received in a Industrial Gray IBM clicky keyboard 1390653. Missing IBM logo, missing f6 but very nice condition. Let me know what you would like to pay for it."
i just picked up a model F AT, so i'm not in the market for an industrial right now. but i do have an extra F6 key and have a few replica square case badges - i'll throw one in (your choice) if anyone here wants to buy the keyboard. make a bid here - let's say we will close bidding in a week. if he likes what he sees, we might get more keyboards. if not, it will probably show up on eBay.
the money would go to a good cause:

the below pictures are of the badges i have - the model F AT is NFS.

That does not look like an industrial. Industrials are green

If it was a space saver I would really jump on that,
Depending on the condition $75? Could you post some photos if possible, I could go higher depending on the condition.

yep - as i said, the pictures are NOT of the keyboard for sale, but are of case badges.
the keyboard that IS for sale is missing a case badge (not sure if it needs an oval or a square) and i offered to include a replacement "replica" badge.
these replicas are high quality cut aluminum like the original and were made by Benton Trophy. i have many colors to choose from as these were samples of what they can do.

i haven't even seen the keyboard, actually.
i sent him the link so he can follow this thread. perhaps we can get him to join our little club and post some pictures. he works for a living, so probably won't hear back for 24 hours or so. i asked him for "born on" date and if the badge is oval or square. it might be too much to ask him to open the case and count the broken rivets.
ARC litterally gets tons of electronics each week and 95% is disassembled down to component parts for hard recycling. i would love for us to get another source of vintage keyboards and help a worthy cause.
win - win

i just got pictures - not the highest resolution, but you can see it finally. i will try to arrange for a up-close inspection and high res pictures later in the week.
born-on-date is 13 November 1987 - square badge!
i will supply replacemnt F6 and right arrow keys.
