Title: Pimpmykeyboard cherry mx keys?
Post by: lightsout714 on Sun, 29 January 2012, 11:03:17: Read in the wiki and elsewhere that only a couple key on pimpmykeyboard are cherry compatible. Can anyone confirm this for me? Its my understanding that the only two are the orange "X%&#!" and red "panic"

I'd like to get a yellow "fire" as well buy too lazy to mod. Can someone confirm before I buy thanks.

So wait those are sphericals? I didn't think about that. I ordered the panic and %$& one and love the profile. Maybe I need to rethink RD.4

Now the question is which one is MX compatible or are both.

SP sphericals are nice and thick compared to cylindricals, go order some space cadet SPH in R4.

But I would like a set of them in the future. I'll have to look I thought only rd3 keys came in that shape and I hate the centered letters.

Really, I sort-of like the big bold centered letters, but I also like the keycaps on my selectric typewriters. It's hard to go wrong with those. I haven't tried SP's sphericals, though.
