UPDATE(2/27/2012):Deadline extended to coincide with the closing of demiks GH DS GB. This saves some money for a lot of people on shipping. New deadline : 2nd March


UPDATE(2/14/2012):Deadline moved to February 27th. I will start money collections from then on. Also, I am buying up to 50 sets of QWER_SET and 75 "GG" Keys"!

UPDATE:CHEAPER KEYS IF YOU GET QWER(_KIT) + ADDON!

Deadline: March 2nd (May change). I will be collecting money after this date for a couple of weeks and then send the order to Signature Plastics. There is no need to pay right now! Earlier this month someone brought up the idea for a QWER set for MOBA gamers. And one thing lead to annother and here we are.I bring to you the MOBA gamer set. A great addition for all you gamers. = DThe keys will all be Doubleshot on ABS plastic in the colors shown below.These will be for Cherry MX switches (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Key+Reference+-+Pics+and+specifications+for+various+manufacturers+keys).The full set will be comprised of 3 parts (sold separately):"GG" ESC Key"QWER" Keys"DFVGB" Keys [ATTACH=CONFIG]39066[/ATTACH]
I will be selling this kit in three parts, since everyone likes different parts of it.

The price is going to be dependent on how many people are getting them. The more the cheaper (and merrier).So if we have 50 keys of the 'GG' key, it'll cost $2.43 each. But if we get 100, it'll be $1.44.

I would only be interested if we can reach that 50 set cap, otherwise the sets get too expensive for me.

WASDKeyboards does ABS with etching or laser engrave, which is different from this group buy where it's PBT dyesub

You can get the same design over at WASD but it will not be yellow, the "GG" will be in grey if its etched

99% No, unless WASD Himself wants to make some. I'm not affiliated with WASDkeyboards, so the chances that you could somehow get it joined with his stuff is not likely. I just help people draw up layouts/fancy icons. ><

Hello,

Long time lurker, second post and a hearty hello to the Geek Hack community.
I am an avid League of Legends/ Dota/ Dota 2/ HoN player and I love these Keycaps!

Seems as though I just scooped Dante's Cherry G80-1800 and am trying my best to absorb as much data on mech keyboards in an accelerated timeline as I can. Can someone verify my assumption, that because this keyboard uses Cherry MX switches, I can use these these caps on my new acquisition?

CHEAPER KEYS!!

I noticed when geting a quote from melissa, that if we get the sets together we get a bigger price reduction. So if you have ordered QWER_KIT + ADDON. I will group it together and you will have a cheaper order!

Is the Canadian dollar not about the same as the US dollar. GG is currently $2.43. And the set of QWER keys + the Addon will cost $10.79. But Due to the amount we're at, we'll almost definitely hit the next price level. Making a set only $6.33.

The price will be dependant on how many orders we get in the end. But Yeah. The more that join, the cheaper.

I'm thinking of YK on BFK.

Yellow is same as the Yellow in the Protoss key. And Blue is same as the dark blue from the Team Liquid key.

Ok, so Ragnorock's set is RA, but that is a very bright red and is much lighter than the BFK blue. I suggest the RBV Red, which is slightly darker.

I understand how you feel. But I can't offer you anything outside of what I already offer. For one is that demik is running the shipping for me and this is the prices he gave me. We've added a dollar to it to cover packaging costs. If you check with other GBs they are all done at this price. I believe it's because they do a flat rate price.

I'm really sorry. Maybe get some more keys to justify the shipping? = p

Check the 2nd post. There is an attachement of the colors I'm picking. The colors are more "toy" like (saturated and bright). It's the same R, Y and B from hashbaz RGBY set.

Yeah it's the esc/number row (w/e number row that is).

If it fits in a bubble mailer, I guess bubble mailer. If it's a lot of keys it'll have to be priority box. But I've put like 30+ keys in a bubble mailer I have (tho they aren't exactly the same demik will have). The bubble mailer is about 7 x 10 keycap units in area. So 70 would be like a crazy maximum. I'd expect it to fit like 40 ish nicely.

The most common meaning of GG would definitely be good game. Used heavily in Starcraft, Warcraft, DotA, LoL and HoN (at the minimum). It's probably spread to a lot of other games too (but I haven't played many other games to comment for sure).

Yeah, gg is used at the end of a match but its also used very sarcastically.

Ex: someone goes afk for 1-2 mins in a dota match and people will cry GG. Or you make a game breaking mistake, and you can say GG, because the game is pretty much over (so it kind of means epic fail as well as good game). It seems like only starcraft players really use it for its literal meaning, mainly because its a 1v1 game.

But yeah, that's what's so awesome about it and also why this keycap is going to be so great!

I used the same setting as R3 did. Itd be nice to have something that maintains the settings so other GB leaders cna use it. Ripster have fun makign this for us <3.

Is that what you mean by profile?

I just got mine today and it matches the NUM row on my Kinesis Advantage exactly. NUM row is R1 on a Kinesis Advantage.

Very 'grippy' and nice. I got 2 keys and the profile fits in 10 spots on the board, so not sure where they are going to live, but as long as they are on the playing field is all that matter I think they will probably be in the thumb clusters :)
