I've never actually bought from them, so ymmv on customer service. I can attest that Brian (EK) is great though. But yeah, gotta value the customer service vs better price.

Holy crap !  EK was selling those for $225 just two months ago.  Why did they go up $75?  :-P

Does the S "silent" mean they don't fart like a regular one?

price went up a wayyyy more then 2 months ago

Received! And its awesome. My only issue now is not buying keycaps to dye (though its not that hard - keycaps is the price of an average cherry keyboard -_-)

Even though EK's sticker price is higher than SI for a standard (non-silent) the insane shipping fees that EK charges means that SI still works out cheaper if you want it shipped outside the US.

EK claim that if you think the shipping is too high you should email them and they'll consider a refund of the excessive part. I assume they are getting enough business inside the US that they don't really need to care about the market outside the US because the shipping makes them horribly expensive. I can get stuff shipped to Australia from Keyboardco in the UK for a third of what it costs to get stuff from the US.

Anyway, not complaining, buyer beware and no-one is forcing me to buy off EK and they are free to charge whatever they want but I wonder if they are leaving money on the table by not finding a way to attract more foreign business by somehow lowering the shipping charges?

Everything on EK was on sale 2 months ago.  Holidays.
