Title: Link Terminal (Wyse) keyboards
Post by: IvanIvanovich on Tue, 31 January 2012, 21:41:07
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Link-WY-EPC-WYSE-840358-01-Keyboard-Light-Gray-Guaranteed-SHIPS-FREE-/190623367991?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6012103671475136759

Looks like it has the thick caps, from the pics. How can I tell? If you look close, the keys have a rounder look, which is one of the things that gives it away. I make no guarantees however.
Downside is they are black legends. Upside is one of the better layouts. Still, not a bad price for such a good condition.

Another one, though no model listed and really really bad photo. Still might not be too bad at $28 shipped.

Aww man! $26 and free shipping, I should have bought that one. I'd wanted one in that style for a bit now. I suspect they are WYSE thin, though. If I recall correctly, the arrows aren't triangles, but have heads on them (still yellow, too). That's one reason I want it.

I'd also been hoping to score one of the PS2 WYSE 'boards, but they never come up at a good price.

Saw that first one, no yellows = no deal! Second one looks great though, probs gonna get snatched up momentarily, although I would make sure it indeed has the yellows first.

I dunno, I got two WYSE 'boards for $20 shipped each, it sort of feels wrong to pay more than that, unless it's PS2, in which case, it'll save me a teensy.

Dorkvader, what's the estimate for part & labor to get it modded to USB?

Are these doubleshots?

It's at home now but I think the caps are doubleshots.

I've never seen an MX Wyse/Link/Reynolds/Random (lots of brands used these boards) that wasn't doubleshot. The crapshoot is how thick they are ranging in thicker than Cherry to paper thin. Legends don't guarantee thickness, as SP? made them for all of these different brands in the same periods, the colors of navy and yellow are Wyse specific though.

I'm hoping it'll work with soarer's code. The ones I have are "dumb" (no lights), so it shouldn't be too hard to sniff the scancodes. If that won't work, I'll just solder a teensy to the matrix. I want to get my wyse 30 one working as a travel keyboard.
