Just in case anybody is interested.

It's probably because he won't ship internationally. I just sent him a question without any issues. I asked if they are custom made and how much of a discount for 10 or 20 cables. I'll let you know.

$14/10 and $12/20. Shipping to anywhere in the US is included in that price.

He also mentioned this "Yes, they are custom made. I had to invest a small fortune to get an original crimper, crimping die, and the plugs themselves are all rather rare and expensive."

I could see if he'd be willing to go down to $10 each for 30 of them?

Pretty much all depends on how much it will cost me to ship them to germany...in the end its probably not worth it, just like the last time I had an opportunity like this.

I could probably fit a bunch of them in a medium flat rate box which is $48. Otherwise a 4lbs box to German would be $31. I'd have to find out how much one weighs.

Hm...somebody on IRC mentioned that there is a company that lets you ship stuff to their packing center and they just fill up a shipping container and ship it to Norway. Maybe there is something similar for Germany.

But this discussion belongs here: http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?26627-Shipping-to-Germany

I have several Model M cables sitting around, at least one for each of my boards.

Don't really like the black but wouldn't mind having one not coiled.

I am low on cash at the moment, but if anybody buys one of these and doesn't like it (assuming that it works properly) I would consider trading for a standard long or short cable at no cost.
