Rubber dome, I have heard it is quite good though.

Very quiet boards.  You can get one for less if you're patient.  The white ones tend to have yellow handles - making the black ones easier to sell on later.

I'm on my third.  Must stop lending them out.

It was the board I was going to pick up before I stumbled on GH.

I used one of these at work before becoming addicted to this place.  They are very nice to type on, and great ergonomically.  A great example of a quality rubber dome.

Don't be that jealous, technically the ISO model is still the poorman's 5000.

It spends its time back in the box. The ISO enter offends my eyes.

I don't mind ISO that much, but I do go that bit further to buy ANSI.  For programmers the enter key is such an improvement.

It depends on what you're used to.  As a longtime ISO-er I find the one-row Enter key on ANSI layouts an annoyance - I keep hitting backslash instead (and there is no need for such a large-sized key to be allocated to a relatively infrequent character such as backslash).  The layout seen on some older boards has the best of both worlds - the Enter key both fat *and* tall.  Short+fat or tall+skinny are both a bit inadequate.

The Goldtouch is decent for a rubber dome. I like the Kinesis Freestyle better -- it's also rubber dome but has a lighter touch. Of course the Goldtouch locks into place and is infinitely adjustable within its range; the Freestyle with the V3 or VIP option only has three specific angles. (Good enough for most.)

There is an older version and a newer. The newer can be spotted as having a row of nav keys to the right above the cursor keys. Hence, the one in the auction pic is an older version.
The newer version supposedly has lighter keys than the old. I find the old one to be relatively noisy -- but only when a key bottoms up.

Good keyboard, I was using a Goldtouch for a long time before I settled on Kinesis Contoured / Advantage.
