I bought a steelseries 6gv2 back in July and since then I spilled coke on it. I removed the keys and dabbed the contacts with water until the stickiness faded, but the keyboard still hasn't felt the same way as when I first bought it.
I've also heard that if I've cleaned the keyboard too thoroughly I may have removed some of the lubricant and if that is so then can anyone tell me how I can re-lube the contacts? I saw a guide by ripster but this is how my contacts look if I take my keys off: (http://blog.gaingame.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/SteelSeries-6GV2-Gaming-Keyboard-Review-8.jpg)
I really don't know much about mechanical keyboards so please forgive my ignorance, but if anybody could give me some advice as to how I can get my keyboard working the way it should then I would appreciate it very much. Any step-by-step guides or thorough information would be much appreciated as I have no clue what I'm doing.

I voted for you, if you help me I will forever proclaim you as the #1 keyboard expert on the planet to all my friends.
I checked the guide you have on lubricating a keyboard but as you can see from the switches in the picture above I don't know where that spring mechanism is to lubricate it. I'm also having trouble opening the keyboard. The Steelseries 6gv2 seems to held together at the top and bottom even after taking out 4 of the screws.

Do I spray it into this: (http://blog.gaingame.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/SteelSeries-6GV2-Gaming-Keyboard-Review-8.jpg)?
Just to clarify. And thanks oh keyboard lord.

Thank you ripster I ordered some deoxit and it immediately made my keyboard feel better than brand new. The keys feel a lot smoother. Thanks mate. :)

I am indeed. :D
I bought a mini-tube of DeoxIT and sprayed it in the keys and it cleared out the sticky Cola that was in the keyboard. It was expensive though, £15 for a mini-tube the size of a marker pen. But I didn't need to use much and it worked so I can't complain.
