Title: Replacing Cherry ML switches with MX: possible?

Regarding this comment of mine (http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?27041-Clicky-keyboard-with-narrower-space-bar-available-in-Europe&p=510437&viewfull=1#post510437), I wonder whether you can replace Cherry ML switches on a keyboard with MX ones (brown or blue).  Do you know?  Are keycaps compatible?  Thanks.
