Title: Opinion: Enable Backlighting or Leave it?
Post by: Blackhawk19 on Thu, 09 February 2012, 19:54:32
So my first mechanical keyboard is the most fun thing to type on ever, I am addicted, and I'm already thinking about spending lots more money...thank you Geekhack...

This is what I've done so far, wanted to keep a blue theme because I just built a new computer that is white with blue LED's all over.  I originally bought this board because of the backlight capability (with minor solderiing), but can't decide if it's really worth the 5 minutes or not.  Does anyone know if the the brightness buttons on this board actually function if I just solder in power to the LED's, or would it just stay on continuously?

Also, I'm in the market for a KBC Poker with Browns if anyone knows where I can snag one :D

that looks like an X-armor.  To my knowledge the light dimming controls dont work if you do the backlighting mod to turn on the blue LEDs under the keys.
