I was recently checking out the Topre wikipedia and found that Topre didn't make a uniform force version of 86.
Well, i recently bought an uniform 45G version of the 86UB from the official distributor of topre in China (listed as a distributor on the official website of Topre Corp). Model no. SE05D0

Nice find. This must be new. I think only newer Realforce keyboards have stickers on the outside of the box. For example the variable 87U I bought from EK in August 2011 didn't have a white sticker on it box. But the 10-year anniversary edition and newer uniform 45g weight 87U have white labels on their boxes.
How much did you pay for it?

260 USD shipped. (i live in asia)

I still can't figure out what it is that makes the Topre's so pricey.
Nice find by the way.

That is certainly better than paying $345 USD.

D: tempted to get one of these since I don't exactly need the things 87 offers lol.
Any difference in feel between this and 87UB?
-
It feels like one key is missing :-P
they should feel the same. I did not like not knowing whether capslock is on or off with out the LEDs, especially when I am typing passwords. Other than that, if you can get it at this low price, and that black color is okay, I say go for it.

honestly I'll prefer white (because dust around my house land on my keyboards like homing missiles).
But since I still have to see if I like the realforce version of topre switches (tried hhkb), I guess I should take a cheaper route lol.
(Edit: Although I can get a new 86U variable for like 190 usd before shipping @@)
