I didn't see this posted so I thought I'd share it.

$140 for a blue backlit BlackWidow with ME3 decals. Big difference from the normal one but I would have expected worse, especially when looking at their other ME3 products.
-
The only reason I'd buy that is to steal the red LEDs. I can't stand the BWU's build quality. Or the layout for that matter.
-
Looks nice. Now make it in TKL without stupid macros.

It's called the CM Quickfire Rapid...
The BWU is definitely NOT my favourite board but I have to shamefully say that I do kinda like the decal on this one (plus I love the Mass Effect series). Will be tempted just to have it for novelty sake if...
1. I can somehow find it for under A$90 (wouldn't pay more than that for a BWU)
2. It had SOME kind of KRO.... At least include a 6-KRO like they did with the stealth model...

I actually like the look of this board. I've been a fan of the blackwidows regardless of what the majority of gh says. The part I am not too fond of is the odd font. Change the font and I will buy another one. Solid board in my opinion. I think razer did a nice job with this ME3 edition.

I'll give you a dollar if you can find it for me in backlit.

Why would anyone wan't just a dollar for that. How much do you think a single dollar costs?
Regarding the keyboard however; I don't see anything special with this keyboard. except that it has more 'decorations' than the bwu. It is exactly like their bf3 edition. They just added decoration and a downloadable content maybe. Its still going to be the same switch, its still going to be the same overall feel of the board.
I have to agree with noGG that the layout of the razer-bw isn't so good. You'll notice this if you type a lot and if you read razer's statements about the bw, they changed the layout of the keys slightly. If you type a lot you'll definitely feel a bit awkward in using the keys of the bw. I say, and to quote lord of the rings; "one doesn't simply change the layout of a keyboard" specially if the current basic layout of the keys has been tested throughout generations and generations of keyboard users. You can't just come out with a keyboard you probably have developed in 3-4 years and say the layout of this one is better for gaming.

It certainly looks interesting, but I could not drop 140 on something branded on a game.
-
What part of the layout, besides the macro keys, did they change? When I had my blackwidow I didn't even notice a difference in layout.
-
Call me a sucker. I like the look plus I am a Mass Effect fan. This is the only Razer that has interested me since the original Boomslang.

You know what pisses me off the most about this keyboard? The Mass Effect nerd in me is screaming to buy it because of the sick N7 decal, yet the keyboard nerd in me is screaming about how much it hates the Razer BWU. First world problems. D:
-
i wonder how long it took razer to think of this.. 5 seconds?
slap the N7 on the keyboard and bam, ME3 keyboard!

Pfft. Just a dollar?? Please...
Now it's been mentioned that CM's are working on a newer Quickfire rapid (that's not the Pro or Trigger)... Whether it's a backlit version of there existing board? Who knows... You might yet get your wish! Now... for that dollar? ;)

I'm suffering from that inner turmoil too my friend.... But what's winning the war for the mech'nerd side is the ugly ho of a price tag Razer slaps on their BW's. ... plus I just preordered the new Leopold FC700 with Cherry Browns.

The F row key's shifted a little to the right and I think the windows keys has been altered slightly but that's about the only differences I could eyeball from comparing it side by side to my old HP keyboard.
