New Realforce 103UB 55g (Black) for $200 + shipping.
Keyboard has less then 10 minutes of use. I typed a few lines and decided the 55g Realforce just wasn't for me.
PM me if you're interested.
Edit: Sold to TYCN
Thanks again everyone

Willing to ship to Australia? If so, could you give me a quote for cost to get it to Sydney?
-
Obligatory "give it some more time, you might like it" spiel.
Seriously though I will have somebody definitely keen, brb getting a hold of them.
EDIT: Lol tycn has already commented on it, my job here is done

Working out the details now with Tycn,
I've been enjoying the var realforce so far, so I'm going to stick with that one for a bit ;)

I just sold the exact same board as you. I'm thinking of trying the var version too. How would you compare the two. Do you find the var type more comfortable to type on day to day? I personally found the 55g home row on the 103UB 55 too heavy. The variable has 35 or 45g on the home row, no?

I have pulled out of this sale due to finding a Realforce locally. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Topres in general have a very smooth feel, that being said there are some things I like and dislike about the var. Mainly the force feels more natural to what I'm use to.
The home row is like this 35g<--A <--45g--> L->35
So 35g from the A to the left and 35g from the L to the right with 45g in the center. Read the wiki here (http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=Topre+Realforce+Reference+-+all+things+topre")
I do have problems with the occasional pinky press on the A, or a phantom P press.
I suspect the 45g has a good feel, and I'm looking forward to also trying one of those eventually. If I ever find someone with a HHKB locally I might try out their KB for a bit to see how it feels.

Board is still available for anyone intererested, Tycn was able to find one locally.
-
Where are you located if you don't mind me asking and you sharing publicly.
-
Tycn is back on again, I guess his local seller in Aus backed out. So back to working out the shipping details.

:o the drama...tune in next time folks to find out what happened...:)

Paid for and on its way. So hopefully the drama is over :)

Glad you got this board Tycn.
I know you have been chasing on a while.
Hope it is everything you hoped it would be.
-
Yeah I must apologize for Tycn pulling out and coming back. I had a change of heart at the last minute and just couldn't let my kb go.
-
Thanks Duncan.
I hope I get to develop that kind of attachment too :)

Congrats Tycn. I remember you bidding on my sale as well, and while someone else got my board I am very happy that you managed to get what you wanted! :)
Cheers!

Thanks! It's good to see that the new owner of your keyboard is happy with his decision too.
-
Yep. If later on in the future I come across a full size uniform 45g Realforce with white or legible keycaps I'll be back on the Topre groove train :)
-
Now the board gets to make its long journey across a few oceans to Australia. I wonder if the movie Cast Away would have been any different if Tom Hanks would have been stranded with a Realforce KB. He probably wouldn't have tried to leave the island ;)
