These are well worth it ladies and gents.
Have a pair for work that I'm wearing now, cuts out the blue tint in our fluro lights so you don't get a headache.
Trying hard to not get a pair for home.

Yeah I already have a pair but just signed up with the link and purchased a new pair.
Thanks LEGITBALLIN!

Damn it, this site has lots of nice stuff, time to spend more money
Any difference between the pairs or just the style?

You think you can add the prescription afterwards if I bring it to a store?

probably not, they would have to use an entirely new piece of lenses to make prescription glasses. that would basically mean that you just spent $30 on a frame since you won't be using their tinted lenses.

Sucks.
I do remember that gunnar optics do do prescription glasses tho. = /

Having problems placing an order because it won't take my Credit Card (probably because the Billing Address has no provision to be in Australia...) and they offer no Paypal. What a bummer.
Will have to give these a miss...

They say they only ship to the states.

Are these worth one of us getting a PayPal payment from you and buying them for you and then shipping them over to you? I have no idea what shipping cost would be.
-

I have a freight forwarder I'm trying to send them too.
Even after they take their cut they're still $40 cheaper than here (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=19052).

If the Paypal payment goes through as a gift, yeah. You'd just have to plug in the forwarding details for me and away we go...

I'm testing... Which model did you want?
-
Awesome looks like the $10 credit works for anything although I haven't bought anything yet
-

The JEM Cobalts (http://fab.com/sale/3432/product/70206/) considering they're the cheapest lol.

I was experimenting with those so they are already in my cart. But, they can only be shipped to U.S. addresses. They would then need shipped to you at an additional charge. I'll buy them if you want to send the $$$ to my PayPal account but you'll have to pay the shipping to me and then to you after they arrive here. The total just to get them to me will be $31.95 (at least, that's what mine cost). Then, whatever it costs to get them to you. Again, I have no idea what that'll cost. 5$? $50? $100? You got me... Still wanna do it?
Edit: I can't find an option to pay them with PayPal so I have to use my credit or debit card after you PayPal me the $31.95.
-
Still experimenting... Couldn't get the $10.00 off yet. They know I've already bought some... Trying another CC...
-
I think you only get $10 off once. It's a credit for joining.
-

I've got a US address that my mate and I use to buy stuff from the U.S (it's called Shipito (http://www.shipito.com/)) so if I could Paypal ya the cash and you could get it delivered there it would be great!

I signed up a second time. But, it knows it's me! LOL

Well, I can't get the extra $10 off for you since it's a sign-up bonus. I tried creating a second account but that didn't help. So the PayPal would need to be another $10.00. I'll do it for you if that's OK.
EDIT: Unless shipping climbs a bunch it'd be $41.95. Let me know. Hopefully you can find a good way to get them and get them to you.

Just gave it another go with both my cards. Both chucked a hissy fit. Sigh...
I think this is a sign - I'm trying to save money lol. I'm gonna give it a miss, try and conserve my funds.
Thanks for the help anyways man :)

Not that this is super relevant to the thread, but for those who are curious what it's like to have these on, consider installing flux. (http://stereopsis.com/flux/)
Who knows, might save you some money instead of buying the glasses themselves (note: wait until sundown to actually see the effect, or configure it yourself but it looks kinda ****ty when sunlight is involved).

flux is actually a great tool. I don't use it but I'm a fan of it and it works if you're not a professional night-owl and keep more normal hours.
However, Gunnars are complete snake oil. They're merely a tinted lens and nothing more (and I have cheaper lenses available in similar tints in a much more stylish sunglass frame that I use where it matters: cycling outdoors in traffic).
All the claims about moisture are merely based on the fact that you're wearing glasses and your face will sweat more around them. You can get eyedrops and get all the real benefits of Gunnars without looking stupid wearing non-prescription eyeglasses indoors. You can make a lifetime's supply of your own eyedrops for a fraction of what these things cost.
That's not to say not to get them. Some people like how they look and that's cool and this is a good deal...but there's really little to no medical value in these things.

was gonna say the same thing.
i also just installed flux and it's really quite cool. it's amazing how much strain i could feel go away just by lowering the color temp.
-
Off topic but I took the $10 credit and ordered one of these portable quick laptop stands (http://www.aviiq.com/pages/portable-quick-stand)
Got for $10 + $5 shipping :)

Yep! And most decent monitors have their own calibration and profiles you can change with a button (at least my Samsungs do). You can even do this in Windows and I'm pretty sure in X also (might need additional downloads).
Between that, making sure to keep your eyes from getting dry and changing your eye focus periodically (build in a habit of short breaks every 15 or so) and you're fine.
-
breaks ever 15 mins?
hmmm.. no wonder why im partially blind
-
Just like a minute (or 10 seconds even) looking at something else or something. I work at the computer all day every day and I kind of do this without thinking about it anyway.
-
The flux program is pretty neat. I'll let it run for a week or so and see if it affects me. So far, it has made me realize that 6500k is really really bright/blue and probably not good for night time computer usage.
-
anyone get a shipping confirmation email from them yet?
because i haven't heard anything from them since i placed my order.
