Just searched eBay for "SDL" and found this cable with inline PS2 to USB adapter - so the cable is SDL to USB. Seems spendy but interesting. Has anyone tried this?

I bought two of the plain SDL to PS/2 cords the same seller had, they did the job and were uncoiled. I'm not sure how well these would do, with Model M compatibility to USB being a little off, though from the looks of things, these look great.
Thanks for the link! I'll buy some and try them out later on.

I have 5 of these coming in the mail. They should be here tomorrow so i'll let you know.

... that works out very well - glad I posted. Thanks :-)

Great deal if you get bulk pricing from them.

$30 for a cable, damn.

That's the product I originally came here looking for. Glad it only took several years :/

What about trackpoint or trackball keyboards? These have a single SDL socket and come with a cable to PS/2 keyboard and mouse plugs. It would be awesome if the adaptor cable worked with those - unfortunately Ebay doesn't let me contact the seller to ask.

BiNiaRiS, I see you have a couple of M5-2s for sale. Before you part with them could you try them with these cables to see if the trackball works?

BiNiaRiS: Did you receive the cables? Did they test OK or is there any weirdness?
Thanks for the help
