Hello again,
So, after receiving my filco ninja majestouch 2 (white), I was in the market for a HHK. Unfortunately, it's way out of my price range, so I was hoping to settle for a HHK Lite2. I was wondering if the Lite version would be worth getting. I know that it doesn't have Topre switches but I like the layout and I figure it would give me an idea what to expect when I can get a Pro version later on. Thanks in advance for the help.

It is a rubber dome. And very stiff at that. Not a good experience....

I had one for awhile and really liked it. Although I got mine for $69 + free overnight shipping from PFU so it was a good deal. With that being said I wish they came with red esc keys because it is a piler type keycap and you can't replace any keys. My only other complaint was the usb ports on it, they were inset so nothing I had would go all the way in which was frustrating. Other then that it was actually a cool board and the rubber domes were not that bad a little strong so if you like MX reds its probably not for you.

Well, i went from using cherry reds to cherry browns. I like the tactile feedback. I used to use a logitech g15 so rubber domes aren't really a big deal. Also i don't mind stiff keys. The main thing tha attracted me was the price, form factor, and look. That enough to warrant purchasing one?

Well I got one just too see if I would like the layout for programming before I ordered the $300 one. I still haven't ordered the real deal but I might in the future they are really cool boards. I mean it's like a $100 so if you don't like it you probably would recoup at least half of that reselling it so I say go for it man

The layout is superb. I actually like it more than the standard HHKB Pro 2 layout because of the arrow keys. However, the rubber dome part really pales in comparison to any MX switch.

Where would be a good place to order a hhkb lite 2

There's a used one on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Happy-Hacking-Keyboard-Lite-2-Black-USB-/180827473237?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item2a1a284555#ht_602wt_87). I bought mine from Amazon last year, but the price has jumped. You can buy from User Side (http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_nr_p_4_14?me=A2F6Y70JPB72GF&rh=p_4%3AHappy+Hacking+Keyboard&ie=UTF8&qid=1330056613). I bought all my HHKB Pro 2's from that seller, but you can see the prices have risen quite a bit. Over $100 for the Lite is definitely not worth it. Really though, it's probably better to just save up for the Pro 2 and buy from Elitekeyboards.

I can't find a good point on Lite2 except its layout. Even the layout is not same as a real HHKB.
The price is ridiculous for its quality.
Some people often say Pro is overpriced, but this board is more.
