Pros:
Cheap
Centered Caps Lock
Source of (Brown?) switches
Cons:
Very worn
Very dirty
ISO
Relegendables for many keys
-
the wiki tell us:
R: MX clear or brown or black switches (e.g. G80-8113), PS/2 (or combo)
so looks like its black switches.

These tend to be clears and browns. I've never seen one with blacks.

Why couldn't it have been white version with doubleshot... I've still yet to see one for sale, makes me think they don't exist. Would really love to come across white centered caps, or better yet control for caps position at this price.
Still not too bad a deal and if that is a typical condition of all they have available it's not that terrible for used POS. I've seen some pay that much for MY8000 that were no better. It's usually not too hard to get an ANSI enter and \ key from someone to complete a set. One of these models is a better start than many other boards for Cherry set.

The lower row in white only exists on boards outside of the US I believe and even they are very rare.
Centered caps lock in white is easier to find. Centered anti caps lock (control) is essentially impossible. I've only ever see 2 of them.

I've seen a ton of doubleshot blacks while rummaging ebay today. But very, very few doubleshot beige/grey -which is what I'm looking for as well. I've resigned myself to buying a moogle kit and scrounging for the few keys I can't get off a surplus board to fit my filco.

I actually lied...i know of at least one ANSI board that has the white center stemmed bottom row. I doubt anyone will ever see one for sale though.

what would be the name of it?

I have seen G80-3000 with 1.25 doubleshot ctrls, alts in white all were ISO, DE or UK layout. I was not looking for white sets at that time, so stupidly did not pick one up. They were fairly pricy though... over $100.
I actually do have a R3 centered stem ctrl key... but it is annoyingly also a 1.25 key, so looks rather odd on a modern board with space on either side. Right row, wrong size is super annoying.

Damn...how boring..when I read DS POS I was hoping for some colorfull doubleshots.. :)

You only really get that on Access-is boards.

I updated the thread title with the model so people won't be confused ;)

The capslock on those are not centered.

I think that comment referred to the G80-8113 boards that were listed in the OP until they sold out. The G81 boards use MY switches, so you'd need a moogle kit in addition to their keys.

Seem to be in much better shape than the 8113s but still not as good of a deal, considering you get less useful keys, and a crappy MY board. MY8000 is a better one to buy if you have to go slumming. At least with those you get a useable right shift and correct row delete, end and page down keys.

The 1800 layout boards are great if you can get them cheap enough. Or if you are looking for white caps since they are the only white caps that are pretty easy to find.

White doubleshots? Haven't seen a white 1800 or MY equivalent in anything but pbt on ebay US in like forever. The layout isn't a bad one, just I think many people are looking to only harvest the caps for their tenkeyless boards. In that case 1800 style is not as good a match.
