Title: New Here -- Onto 4th KB in couple of months!

Hey all, long time lurker here.

Deciding to finally reg to get into a group buy and also do some posting!

I`m have fun with mechanical again!  First one with on an Old IBM Keyboard with an OLD 486, don`t rem the keyboard model though (wish I still had it now)

Just recently got back into mechanical, getting them into Canada is expensive!

First one I bought was a Rosewill with Browns, it was interesting but nothing special, I have sold it off already.

Next I got a Rosewill with Reds (which I chose over the Browns) but there not really doing it for me, I might keep them or not. I have 0-rings installed as well. Hoping the Doubleshot keys I just got in for will help with the feeling on the RW.

I also have a Ducky with Clicky Green ALPS. boy what a fun board to type on, but something is missing. It doesn`t feel quite right. And there are loud buggers these Simple Green ALPS switches.

I just recently ordered a CM Storm QF with Blues, hoping I will be happy with those.

I feel for your wallet. Enthusiast forums does that to you, though GH is arguably not as damaging as Head-Fi.

Good luck with your quest for your perfect switch+cap!

My advice is to give each switch plenty of time and to not read too much on forums as you judge it. Reading too much will implant preconceptions and alter your opinions, so let your fingers be the only judge. I didn't like Browns when I first ventured into mechanical keyboard territory, but I fell in love two months in after accustoming to not bottoming out.

Choice is sometimes detrimental to happiness.

Welcome to GeekHack! unfortunately by hanging around here you are subject to paying mass amounts of money for different colored pieces of plastics.

my wallet already has a HUGE hole burned into it, that leaking cash!

If I end up liking this CM, I just might have to sell off the Rosewill to pay for the caps GB I just went in for!

Maybe the Ducky too, but I don`t know, I like those Clicky Green ALPS.
