I got bored and decided to disassemble my Das III. It had been making a bit of a rattle when you moved it around. One of the stablizer clips broke on the keyboard and I thought that's what was making the rattling sound. As I took it apart further I learned the PCB and plate are supported by the bottom casing a bit with 10-12 plastic stems attached to the bottom of the case. It seems like all of those broke off and were bouncing around underneath. To be honest the typing wasn't really affected as far as I could tell. I bought it used so it might have been this way the whole time, honestly wasn't in the best condition.
But now it's in pieces and I'm cleaning it further and deciding what to do. I have most of the stems so I guess I could re-glue them all down if I can figure out where they go (They don't look like they're all the same height).
So does anyone have an idea on a replacement shell I could buy. Or possibly build? The PCB, controller, and switches are all fine.
EDIT* It appears those little pegs do almost nothing for the stability, unless I'm crazy... might just glue them back and put it back together once I cleaned it.

You'd probably want to see ripster's glue thread for the right epoxy to use.

Thanks for the advice, I'll check it out.

Looks like he recommends Methyl Methacrylate style epoxy for ABS. Which I think is what the Das shell is made out of.
EDIT* Does anyone know what would be recommended for gluing rubber feet back on? I mistakenly removed the wrong rubber foot on one side, peeled it wrong and lost the sticky part. Still got the rubber piece...

Thought this looked kinda cool. Probably not the best idea (PCB is directly on the desk).
Oh well, waiting to buy glue tomorrow before I reassemble it completely.
