Stay with me, it will become clear why I am in the keycap subforum.
So...
I have been on here lurking and reading and mainly use this site to buy keycaps (ohgodwhy?).
I also used you guys to help me decide which keyboard to buy for gaming.
Now you guys have slowly converted me.... As a child I loved making models and fiddly **** like that, probably still do. This itch however has not been scratched recently....
Now I was in the storage are at work and I found and old Viglen mechanical keyboard. I popped off a keycap and it seems to have ALPS switches? I think. (I am a meer noob.
Now long story short I want to bring this keyboard back to it's former glory.... I have read all the material on cleaning keyboards and the deep cleaning will be starting soon!
However I can't find any info on restoring sun damaged keycaps. Is this doable? or are they dead to me?!
Thanks
