Title: Wasdkeyboards keycap question
Post by: MyNameIsFinn on Tue, 28 February 2012, 15:30:54
I am going to be ordering 104-keycap set.

I have some questions..

Will this fit Das Keyboard?

How do I take off keys like the spacebar/shift etc?

Are the keys high quality?

If the Das Keyboard has Cherries, yes, they will fit on the switches.
Considering they look pretty standard, I would say yes, they will all fit.

To take off the keys with stabs, you can just pull at them, or lift them, and use something sharp to take the stabs off.

And they keys are ABS, but good quality ABS. They have a really nice feel and dont seem to shine too fast (got some shining on some, but then I use my keyboard a lot.

1.  They will.

3.  They're ABS keys, take that as you will.  I haven't tried the WASD keycaps, but my stock Filco caps got shiny really quickly and had a slipper feel to them.  Personally not a fan of ABS anymore after trying out a set of PBT caps.

Its all in the wikis, man.

As far as the compatability, you might run into issues with the spacebar. I don't know much about the DAS, so it might be fine, but I know that some keyboards (Leopolds from memory) aren't compatable with WASD spacebars.
Again, check the wikis, or FAQ at the WASD for more info.

Lift one end, then the other. The hard part is putting it together later.
