Title: Keyboard Backlight Remains on after shutdown + First Mech
Post by: VictimRAID on Wed, 29 February 2012, 07:01:00
Hi guys,

I just got my first mechanical keyboard a Ducky DK9008 Shine (Cherry Blue) and when using the keyboard via the PS/2 adapter the back light remains lit after shutdown.

I have never used a back light keyboard via PS/2 (i used my old keyboard a Logitech G110 via usb) the only other PS/2 keyboard i own is a Dell SK-8110.

Are PS/2 ports constantly powered? or is there another reason power remains to the PS/2 port?

Any help would be appreciated :)

should be a BIOS setting. I believe if you have it set to be able to turn your system on via keyboard command it will keep the PS/2 lit up.

Yeah just go into your BIOS and switch it off. Easy.

I usually use PS/2.... If you got the N-KRO option, why not use it!

PS/2 is faster. It uses internal interrupt, not usb input buffer.
