Title: Realforce 87U from AUS/US
Post by: mickd on Mon, 05 March 2012, 00:04:07
Difference?

The EK's one says the variable weighs are 30,45,55. The australian seller says it's 35,45,55. Why is the one in Australia so much cheaper? Australia never has anything cheaper than the USA! <- This worries me!

Thoughts? Comments?

Well is Australian dollars not worth more than American dollars? The only difference I can see is that the one of the australian site might not have dip switches or atleast they don't mention it does

This is a blessing. We must embrace it.

BTW, anyone know if there's any difference between the 86U and 87U besides the 1 key difference?

Edit: Misread your post ^^^

The difference in price is only the TKL models though for some reason. I can't understand why fullsize are $265 and TKL are $345 on EK. Actualy EK have fullsize at $30 off at the moment, and if I would get one it'd be the 55g model as I have some bizarre semi touch type form, no Australian vendor sells them though.

Like it's been mentioned before... The Aussie dollar is so strong at the moment that our buying power is pretty sweet.  Plus you got PC Case gear ordering a heap of Mech's and Topre's so it's a win win for us.  I got my variable Topre 87U when they were on sale for A$219 and I LOVE it!  I'm hoping they will thing of stocking HHKB's in the future 'cause I'll be up for one of those too.  HHKB are uniform weighted Topre switch boards too.

Decent wine is cheap in Australia.

Kangaroo dog food.......

Yes proudly to the wine.

As to kangaroos... I think we're one of the few countries that shoot AND eat our National emblem...  Not sure to be proud or not... Oh well, when done right kangaroo is damn tasty.
