Title: P/S2 issues with Unicomp
Post by: AKIMbO on Tue, 06 March 2012, 18:34:21
I picked up a used Unicomp (Classic 101 w/ P/S2) in the classifieds a week back.  Fast forward to today and when I plug it into my motherboard via a P/S2 connection my computer won't boot directly into windows 7 (I get to windows boot manager).  Once I finally get into windows, the desktop icons get turn into a strobe light until I tap numlock.  After that, the keyboard works fine.

Is my P/S2 connection on my motherboard to blame (I'm using an intel based LGA 1366 mobo)?  Would an active  P/S2 to USB converter solve this issue?

It sounds like one of the arrow keys on the number pad is sending constant signals. Could possibly be more then just the P/S2 connection.

But other then that I have no idea, hope this bump lets someone else with more knowledge see the thread at least .

See the PS/2 Compatibility Wiki.  Blue Cube should fix it.

Thanks.  I ordered an Adesso EZ P/S2 to USB converter...mentioned in the wiki.
