SP is selling original lasered cherry keycaps.

They go for about 10$/set.
The black sets come from the G81-3000.
The grey sets come from the G81-1800.
What kind of switches do these keyboard use? Are they Cherry MX?
-
G81 is MY switch, but all non stabilized keys are interchangeable in MX and MY, same keycap.
-
I wish the white set had the numbers included then!
Thanks.
-
The stabilized keys are also compatible. Most of them anyways, like backspace, enter, shift etc
-
I'm not very well-up on cherry's non DS keycaps. What are the plastics and printing methods for these? I'm really only interested if they're PBT or POM.
-
Compatible you say?

This is what current stabilized MY keycaps are like. I suppose they are usable technically, after you chopped the stabilizer holder things off and if you like wobbly keys.
Older boards have PBT for white, and POM for black. Not sure about new ones, I heard they have cheaped out and using ABS on them now. I haven't confirmed it though.
-
I have two different varieties of the non-POM lasered Cherry caps, and they are both PBT. This doesn't seem like a very good deal, however, as it's missing a lot of keys. Try going for a cheap NIB G81 instead.
EDIT: lol @ Cherry quality degrading.
-
Hmm...I've bought several g81 boards off ebay to harvest for caps and all the ones I bought had regular cherry stabilized large keys
-
And you you guys know about the profile of the keys?
Will they match Signature plastic doubleshots?
-
Doubleshots are always fully MX compatible on MY boards same keycaps, just the other types that Cherry decided to make different for no apparent reason...
No they are not exactly the same as SP. The top half is pretty close, but the bottom half is quite different in profiles. SP bottom row especially is much more angled.
-
Ahh, I see, good to know.
-
Anyone have any \| and Enter lasered keys? :)
-

The new MY boards (all one color, no darker modifiers) are PBT, or at least the white ones are. That's my picture you posted :)
The caps are actually really nice... well, the ones that fit are anyway.

Woops, missed this. I have the black set and they're POM. Slippery as hell but very thick. Personally I couldn't stand them because the keys never felt "clean" to me.
-
Took a bit to decide between these and the ebay nobrand caps. Went with the latter, they were prettier.
-
So with cherry, the L means lasered PBT if white and lasered POM if black. Do there exist "S" white ones that are dyesub PBT?
-
H means doubleshots, L lasered, never seen a S, except for US in the end of the model name

Yes, S is dyesub PBT and they do exist.

Yes, S=sublimated. They don't come up often, but are damn sexy. Seen a few G80-1000SAU models go for big money. SAD models come up on ebay.de a little more often, but are still usually not cheap. I still haven't managed to get any S models.

I thought S stood for Standard.
