Added Carbon Fiber Vinyl on just minutes ago.

Thinking about buying 87 set of either white or black blank keys. I have 20 bucks, I might have to pay another 20 for WASD or is there any cheaper sets around?

Discuss WHITE OR BLACK(no racism intended) + CHEAPEST SET?

Ask Qtan if he carry Keycool's blank keycaps.

p/s: Infact, you will get one extra windowed keys from the set.

Well i just took off all 87 key caps and layed down the vinyl, started to cut out the hollow spots where the keys go and went from there.

I'm pretty new here still, who is Qtan? Like what is his forum name? (The following users were not found: Qtan)

There are these but I only need a set of 87 and WASDKeyboards sell for $10 cheaper. My dad said if I it's under $30 there is no extra fees across the border as I live in Canada,Ontario

His store has the same ones for less. For whatever reason, his store's stuff tends to be slightly different from his ebay offerings.

PBT keycaps are generally regarded as nicer than ABS ones. They have a little more of a textured feel and don't get shiny as easily. WASD is great, but their keycaps are ABS (as are your stock keys), and I think it's worth a couple extra bucks to go for PBT if it's an option.

So what is the difference from ABS and PBT exactly? And my keyboard supports PBT if I were to pay extra?

Basically just what I mentioned before. PBT keys feel a little rougher and take a much longer time to get shiny than ABS ones. There are also different techniques for applying decent legends to the different plastics (dye-sublimation for PBT, doubleshot for ABS), but that doesn't matter if you're just looking for blanks.

Your keyboard will manage with either material, but your fingers will (probably) be slightly happier with PBT.
