The keyswitches themselves are Cherry ones. Appropriate enough for a cherrywood keyboard, I guess, but I would have preferred oak beam springs. If you like this one also check out the Scrabble keyboard: http://www.datamancer.net/keyboards/scrabble/scrabble.htm

Hooohh man, is it just me or are those datamancer keyboards all just unforgivably tacky? It's probably just me, but I can't stand 'IRL' steampunk stuff. Beautifully constructed but... why?
