Has anyone tried or had any success using vinyl dye to change a filco majestouch from black to white?

It would be pretty nice to have a pure white keyboard though.

I haven't done keyboard, but did my MX Revolution from its dark grey to white with VHT vinyl dye. I use it every day and not a single sign of wear after almost a year. Considering I have much more contact with the mouse than most people ever will with their keyboard body I would say it's a good choice.

I did a Unicomp spacesaver. On the inside of the case I did a test, I could scratch through the black "dye" with a screwdriver but not my nail.

Have you got any pics of it?

Did the white turn out pearly white, pure white or grey?

It isn't dye it just melts the plastic a little bit and "blends" with it. I think we are talking nanometers. I dyed it black. It is my son's keyboard so I will take pictures tomorrow after work as he is in bed and I don't want to disturb him.

Just the palm / buttons part is vinyl dyed the right side I did leather look on. As you can see though, the vinyl dye holds up really well.

Wow, that looks way better than I expected. I had booked the idea off my mind, but now, I'm thinking it might just look alright in the end.

That looks better than the standard color.
