Ok, anyone have any recommendations for my filco mx Brown?
Also post audio clips/videos of the sound of o-rings if you can please.
Im looking into buying some o-rings but no completely sure which to buy.

I put 50a rings on my filco mx brown and removed them ASAP as I didn't like the way it sounded or felt
When I had my Ducky mx red I did the ring mod and it felt awesome. Almost like it was meant to be:D
Sent from a phone...

Ill still have to think about it...
Im not sure..

I have like 5 + sets of O rings from Kaiserreich ..
Kept them on my blues until last night.. Not using them at all

Here's a ghetto unboxing vid of me installing 50A O-Rings on my TKL MJ1 with browns:

Jump to 3:03, the deep-link doesn't seem to be working.
Don't mind the horrible video quality.
Personally, I love the feel of the O-Rings. They've quieted my keyboard down a substantial bit as well as adjusting the feel of my keyboard to my liking. The board feels a bit more "bouncy" and responsive. I'm not sure if it was me getting used to my keyboard or the installation of the O-Rings, but my WPM has shot up from 90 to 115 a week after putting them on. For me, they were well worth the small investment. For my wife, they are *EXTREMELY* worth the investment. The silencing that it does has made her nights much more enjoyable.
I'm looking at getting some 40A O-Rings in the near future for a comparison. The 50A O-Rings are working well for me, YMMV.

WASD Keyboards posted a nice video on Youtube demonstrating sounds with and without their 50A O-rings and with touch typing and full key travel on blue, brown, and black switches (watch out for the increased music volume in between keyboards, though):

This is mine. Since it was done on a mx blue keyboard, try not to pay attention to the clicks from the switches, but rather the bottom out noise differences.

I just got my filco this week.. testing it for a week before deciding if I want o-rings or not.
-
I have done it on all alpha keys of my Filco brown, the sound is dampened and so is the key feel. So it's a trade-off between the key feel and the key sound.
-
I also got some from Kaiserreich and have put them on every key even the modifiers. The sound is not too much different on the brown switch, but the travel height of the key has been slightly decreased or so it seems. Basically I like this simple mod just because of the ability to minimize bottom outs.

I just did o rings on my blues and I really like the way it feels and sounds.
-
I've only had my very first mechanical keyboard (cherry mx brwns) for about 10 days, and I JUST had the o-rings modded.
Takes a while getting used to, even though I've only had my keyboard for less than 2 weeks. I was JUST getting used to the feeling of bottoming out, but I guess as time goes by, i'll get used to it again with the O-rings.
I really like how it muffled the bottoming out sound. totally felt self conscious living in an apartment typing away at 2am.

I've put the 50a O-rings on, I really like it. Keys seem less clicky but I think thats how I like it (still have the nice tactile though).

Or you can make ghetto-rings.. LIke in my thread.. they're about 35A very soft. EPDM has better tensile strength, but you my rings are free
