you should check if they are in stock first.

most of the good stuff on taobao is sold out, they're just too lazy to update quantity.

you gotta find an agent. you have to pay to convert USD to Yuan, then pay to have them shipped to the agent, then pay the agent his cut (8%-10%) and then pay for shipping to you, then others have to pay shipping to them.

it can add up quickly. those boards are not that rare in the US. if they were MX boards i'd for sure say go for it.

and like demik said, 90% of the vintage stuff on taobao isn't actually in stock...they sell them and then never adjust the inventory.

Why not go for these 7910 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Refurbished-CHERRY-Keyboard-Credit-Card-Reader-G81-7910HPBUS-2-/370540782746?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5645f3a49a)? Just as compatible for a modern ANSI board. Already in the US so no dealing with international shipping and taobao agent crap.

Damn it you know what I meant! Fine, 3tone sucks. And before you say it, yes I still want 'white' set 1.25 modifiers. But I have alphas in that color to match, and rest of modifiers to match white alpha keys. HA!
