What the title says, I wanna do some ebay snooping.
-
OR with high quality keys

Older Cherry keyboards are the only ones I know of, but if you can't find those, go for ones that come with PBT caps.
Like a Unicomp.
EDIT: I found one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHERRY-G81-1822HQMUS-PS2-BLACK-KEYBOARD-/230618121302?pt=PCA_Mice_Trackballs&hash=item35b1e94456#ht_500wt_1180

See the Anti-Otaku Filco mod post. Go to Mods subforum and click on sort by views and it should float near the top. Ask questions in the mod post if you have any.
Thanks ripster

Or, you can ask questions about keycaps in the keycaps subforum and get an answer there *gasp* !

Anyway, People seem to like doubleshots. They are always ABS plastic, but the legends are shot "through" the keycap and won't fade until you've worn through the entire keycap. I have a set of used cherry doubleshots, and they look really nice, with the white lettering on black keys. The legends look really sharp.
Personally, I prefer PBT, but the cherry doubleshots are very nice. It's really the only thing I use that's not Dyesublimated PBT. The legends are a little "blurrier" on the PBT dyesubs.

The alphanumeric keys should work on any cherry MX-compatible(filco majestouch, leopold, CMstorm QF rapid, Poker, etc.) keyboard, but you often need to get other keys for capslock, control, alt, windows, menu, spacebar, and sometimes shift. These are usually made as "moogle" kits. Check the GB forum for some good ones.

don't the deck legends have double shots?
-
Cherry G80, G81 models that the first letter in model is H
Wyse / Reynolds / Link / etc terminal boards.
BTC / Leading Edge / etc 5300 series
Those are just the MX (compatible) ones that are really common and often cheap. There are also loads of Alps and other switch type boards that have doubleshots too that you can get often for under $40.

sort-of. The process involves multiple pieces of plastic, but the "shot" doesn't involve an injection molding machine the same way a traditional doubleshot does:
http://geekhack.org/showwiki.php?title=All+About+Keys (search for "deck"). They have an insert that is likely dyesublimated, then forced into a plastic skirt.

Never know what you'll find in salvage stores (goodwill, salvation army etc.).
I have found several interesting boards with double shots for under $3.

Standard pc keyboards or POS boards?
