Title: TypeNow Solid. Any switches will be fine! And other OTD custom Keyboards!
Post by: feng on Wed, 14 March 2012, 07:21:29
I'm so into those Korean custom keyboards from OTD lately. Just couldn't get rid of it. I thought my Filco aluminum limited edition looks just nice enough until I saw those !@#$%^& custom metal keyboards on OTD.

Those Koreans are really crazy keyboard lovers. Their keyboards are tooooooo awesome. T_T

Anyway, I'd like to give it a shot to see if it's possible to get a Korean custom metal keyboard.

Otherwise I'll also go with a TypeNow Solid which I think someone might have it here. Also if you know there's anyway I can buy one from some kinds of websites, much appreciate if you could tell me. Please don't give me a Korean website and say here you go, ur welcome. I know NOTHING about Korean. :(

PM me! :plane:

I've been dreaming about them for a loooong time. A friend of mine in China is helping me on that, his friend has a Korean friend on OTD. Well, just never get lucky.

I actually saw some Korean custom keyboards posted on this forum I forgot by whom. But mostly I don't think they are willing to sell those. :(

I've never understood why people hide their keyboards from us. The actual fun here is to share our keyboards not to hide them from being seen. Also I hate when someone tease us with "Look I added those keys to my keyboard" and that keyboard is one of those Korean custom keyboards. You have to show us the keyboard not the key  :nono:

GH should do an OTD style keyboard, I guarantee alot of people would be very interested in it.  And there is people now doing custom PCB's and Aluminum cases,  just need the right couple people coordinating.

Wasn't that what the Phantom was for? I think it will fit in Vortex's case etc, thus an aluminum keyboard (just like OTD) and can use original Cherry Corp. DS caps.
Edit:BAH! Darn you Demik, beating me to it.

Not 100% sure but you can get them for approx $3000 vs the hand coated Urushi version that one is about $5000, maybe more on the secondary market.

I was thinking of getting one myself right until I found out the price and had to skip it :P

The phantom is fine, what I mean is designing a case for GH.  OTD does it as a set and they all solder it themselves.  More of what I meant is a GH inspired case, use the phantom as the PCB(I missed out on the phantom) setup some kind of system if people need help with the soldering where that can be done.  Sorry just rambling
