Title: Need some help choosing a budget mechanical keyboard =D
Post by: kelvinblade on Wed, 21 March 2012, 03:45:02
Hi. I'm a first time mechanical keyboard buyer. I've tried the different colors switches and I think I'm going with Cherry Black. The keyboard will be used for gaming only. These are the choices I have that fit my budget:

1) Ducky 1008
2) CM Storm Quick Fire
3) Steelseries 6gv2
4) Plu ML-87
5) Plu ML-G3000
6) Noppoo Choc
7) Rosewill 9000BL
8) Leopold FC500R

Which one do you recommend and why? Also will I be able to use after market keycaps on all of them? Thanks so much in advance.

Have you tried using search on the forum? You could probably shorten that list up a bit with it.

I'd go with the QuickFire if you can find it in Blacks, that keyboard is awesome for the price.
