Title: How can you like reds?
Post by: HaiiYaa on Thu, 22 March 2012, 01:49:45
There's no feedback and you bottom out all the time.

You know, I can't tell with the "How can you like _____" threads popping up if we should just make a compilation thread that says "How can you like _______"

But on a note pertaining to the thread, you can train yourself to not bottom out on the reds, creating a sensation some say feels similar to a "Cloud of boobs"

About the feedback, that's what most people like about it, you can just glide across them once you get to know the switches a lot better.

Not sure if troll or ...

BTW, the reason I like RED is exactly what you complained for, TROLOL.
No feedback = smooth and nice feeling for your finger
Bottom out all time = the switch is light and I can be a sissy and press it with minimum force

PROBLEMS?

HOW CAN YOU DISLIKE REDS?!

I actually hated reds when I tried them
Comic sans probably wasn't the best choice.

I had one for 1 month, how long do I need to "know" it better? I kept making typos because nothing told me I pressed the key unless I was bottoming out all the time

To each their own, I guess. I didn't like it at first, but I grew to like it a lot better, but still not as much as other switches.

The main problem of these threads is that it says how can YOU not like ______ which implies that other's feelings comes into action. Most of these threads should be renamed to "I don't like ____ and here's why"

I didn't like reds to begin with coming from blues which I loved, now love them. I personally like bottoming out, the sound is awesome :D
Currently using my brothers keyboard with blues, and finding it really difficult to type :(

Is that Walter's Poker face when typing on them Blues?

Because red wunz go fasta.  Seriously, they really do - sometimes too fast for my hands to keep up with my brain.  I'm also bottoming out a whole lot less after typing on my RealForce 87U variable.

I just recently got a poker with reds. I do bottom out quite a bit more then I do with blues or browns. First couple days I was having some typo issues when typing so fast that the next keypress was being pressed before the current key since their is no tactile feel. However, now that I am getting used to them they seem sooooo smoooth.

I currently prefer them to my blues and I am ordering a keyboard with blacks now to see how the extra activation force would still be as smooth but maybee remove the periodic earlier keypresses.

So I like them but not because they are better but they are just differrent. They do take time to get used to.
