Seems to be a really nice board but according to my research... ps2 and needs a specific adapter and not just any one. Hmmmm. This keyboard is tempting but seems I'll have to do some research first. Thanks for the information!

Do you own one yourself?

So this will allow enough power for the backlighting too?? I also hear this keyboard is 2KRO... maybe I just don't know anything :( I would buy this keyboard right now if it weren't for the stock ps2.

Yes, it is 2kro, and the LED lights require you to turn them off when you turn off your computer

Seems to be too many uncertainties for me to make this purchase. The ps2 is the biggest drawback for me though.

The 2KRO ever given you any problems? I really don't have much experience or knowledge on how this all actually plays out in real life... it just sounds really bad...

2KRO only affects gaming for me. I don't have a blue cube, but I do have the belkin one from amazon that's recommended alongside the blue cube in the wiki. They both use the same chip, but the belkin allows you to connect a ps2 mouse at the same time.

Good keyboards cost good money. Your best bet for a "cheap" board is elitekeyboards. $100 + shipping will get you a crappy red mx leopold.

A poor man has to live with what he's got :( But yeh... I'm starting out with cheaper boards now but once I've decided what switch I like most, I'm planning on investing in a higher end board.

How much are the old Wyse keyboards with Cherry MX Blacks? Something about the terminal ones not being PC compatible. No clue about anything to do with these.

Never was being picky. I don't expect people to just sell their keyboards at a low price, but there are some who are willing, and that's what I'm looking for at the moment. But I'm open to any offers and I'll definitely keep your offer in mind if I decide to spend a bit more (bro has a black TKL leopold with mx blues which are definitely nice).

But still... $150.49... I guess that means that they're increasing in value... And here I joyfully ripped it out of it's packaging and started using it... Who am I kidding? I don't give a damn that I lost out on making a lot of money! NOTHING beats the old ****!

An even rarer (at least on ebay) related thing just popped up! I've NEVER seen one of "these" on ebay before. If I get "it" I'll post the picture for you to guess how valuable it is. The picture is **** so I have a 50/50 chance of it being the oldest of the 3 variants! But chances are good!

Agreed, but one does come cheaper than the other :P I do realize that the Leopold may comes with a better build quality and maybe even just better keyboards overall, but I was primarily focused on obtaining a keyboard just for the linear switches. I would've loved to have purchased the keyboard WhiteFireDragon offered, but I am on a budget :( Chances are, I'll get sick of the blacks and want to use reds again.. and hopefully WhiteFireDragon will still have the board LOL!

"Unknown" to you and yet you're older than me... I have been finding these things lately by searching like an "idiot". They have been improperly identified. I have to search the biggest words on the front of the packages to find them. But at least I'm finding them now!

Who called you an idiot? If you're talking about me, I wasn't belittling you in any way, if that's what it came off as (unless you're talking about someone else). I love finding rare things that are of higher value that others wouldn't realize because it usually means I can obtain more easily or at a cheaper price than expected.

No one called me an idiot, and I'm not calling anyone an idiot. I have to "search like an idiot" to find these things. You weren't belittling me in any way. I have started searching for the biggest words on the front of packages and am starting to find these rare things that don't show up when you search the model number. Judging from your response, I'm guessing the matrix is similar if not identical to the ML-4100 kb's which i have 1.

unfortunate, I cant use this kb because to press ins comfortably with my right hand i have to shift over to using ; '.

No one called me an idiot, and I'm not calling anyone an idiot. I have to "search like an idiot" to find these things. You weren't belittling me in any way. I have started searching for the biggest words on the front of packages and am starting to find these rare things that don't show up when you search the model number. Thus I dubbed it "searching like an idiot". Make sense?

Lol, got you. Your use of quotations had me off and I miscomprehended :P

Link me this mouse on ebay so I can snipe it :P

That "thing" still has another 2 days left on ebay... I've got some other "things" coming that may or may not be vintage. It would be awesome if they all are. But I would be happy with at least some of them being vintage.

I didn't know that they made a different "thing" in black. I contacted the seller and he told me the model number. Google told me that they once came in 5 colors instead of just the 4 that I knew of. That means that there's a good chance it's vintage.

I probably have an unhealthy amount of knowledge about these old desktop "things"... If only I knew as much about vintage keyboards as well...

The picture quality on ebay sucks... If only people could take decent pictures of their ****...

The one that hasn't come yet is the black "thing" I talked about. I have a vintage one in sapphire that I'm using at this very moment.

All 4 are no good...

By my count there are 4 variations of belkin and 4 variations of fellowes. Only one variation of each brand is good. Which sucks for me...

I will only post pictures of genuine vintage "things". So until I find another one there wont be any pictures. Sorry...

Gel in general (including mousepads and wristrests). There was a time in the late 90's when "real" gel was made. It is almost impossible to find nowadays.

My family owns 2 vintage mousepads (filthy but better than anything you can buy nowadays). One belkin, one fellowes.

I myself own 1 perfect vintage belkin mousepad, and 2 damaged vintage belkin mousepads. I also own 1 perfect vintage fellowes wristrest.

These things are nearly impossible to differentiate from the pictures on ebay. Take for example - the top one is my 1 perfect vintage belkin mousepad, while the botton one is a different variation that looks nearly identical. The top one is heaven, while the bottom one is **** (hell is reserved for different variations than this one).
